New Might

Mikazuki's siblings watched in horror as her executer tried pulling the staff.  Surprisingly, he pulled with all his might but wasn't able to move it one inch.
-Sir, it's stuck, he said.  What about...
He didn't have time to finish before he was thrown off the stage.  The Blaziken mayor turned around and saw Mikazuki's eyes glowing.
-So you've done this!  he said.  I'll show you true strength!  he added as flames erupted from his fists.
He ran up to the Umbrespeon and tried to punch her, but hit an invisible barrier.  He stared in shock as Mika lift her head, staring straight into his eyes.  The Blaziken brought his two hands to his head and screamed in pain as an intense headache attacked him.  He then followed the executer and was thrown off the stage, before hitting the prison wall, getting stuck in it in the process.
-Damn it... the Espeon near Marik let out.
-What's wrong with Mika?  the Umbreon asked.
-Everybody run!  the stranger yelled.  She's lost control, get out of here now!
It didn't take long for the Pokémons around to run away from the stage.  The Umbrespeon's family members lost themselves in the wave of fleeing Pokémons.  They each tried moving closer to the alley, now free to access.  Bolt was the first one to get past the crowd.  He saw his daughter floating in the air, a strange pink light enveloping her.  Before he could move, the light formed into a sphere and expended, destroying the stage in its path.  Small pieces of wood fell as the Umbrespeon's psychic sphere grew bigger.
-Mika...  Bolt mumbled.  How did you become so strong?
-Bolt, please!  Dawn cried as she pulled on him.
-Your daughter's going to be fine, the Espeon stranger added.  Right now you need to escape this blast.
-How do you know all this?  Bolt asked, suspicious.
-I can't tell you this right now, so just trust me on this one.
-I don't even know who you are!
-A friend.
Bolt shock his head and followed his mate, trying to hide from the Umbrespeon.  Before leaving, he turned and faced his daughter, anger surging inside of him.
-Unleash Hell Mika, he ordered.  You hear me?  Un. Leash. Hell!
The Espeon stranger stayed and admired Mikazuki.  The sphere suddenly sent a powerful wave of psychic energy, destroying part of the prison and the street.
-Karan, get away from here, the Espeon ordered the Tyranitar.
-But Master...
-Go now!  I'll be fine!
The Tyranitar nodded and followed Mika's siblings.  His Espeon master turned to face Mikazuki, floating even higher than before.  The rope that was around her neck had disintegrated and the sphere of psychic might kept growing, sending pulses of energy that slowly damaged buildings near.  "Let's see what your true strength is..." the sun Pokémon thought.  The psychic energy suddenly regressed in Mikazuki as her eyes glowed with bright pink light.  She let out a screech as she released the energy blast, expanding in the air extremely fast.  The Espeon stood there, unaffected by the energy, and tried to control its strength.  "Not yet..." he thought.  "I'll get it later... just keep your cover for now..."  His intervention seemed to reduce the psychic wave's strength and the damage it did to the buildings surrounding the area.  Dust was in the air, blocking his vision.  His eyes started glowing blue as he searched for Mikazuki's Aura.  He saw her, flying in the air.  Her Aura had returned to normal and she seemed peaceful and serene.  He used his psychic powers to stop her from falling and moved her closer to him, until he could settle her on his back.  He sighed in relief when he heard Mika's heavy breathing under all the rumbling of the falling building pieces around.  He turned around and walked toward the Tyranitar's direction, hoping to get the Umbrespeon back to her parents soon.

-MIIKAAAAAAA!!!!  Dawn cried out before breaking apart in Bolt's paws as pieces of buildings fell around where the execution stage used to be.
-Is she... Koneka started, tears welling up in her eyes like all the other Pokémons present.
-No...  Spark let out, his eyes leaking warm tears.  No, she can't be...  She can't be!!!  he yelled out as a dark storm cloud formed in the sky, lightning bolts shooting out of it.
-Spark, please calm down...  Shadow asked, also crying.  It'll only be worse...
All sixteen Pokémon silently cried, except for Bolt, who was raging against the gods.
-Give me back my daughter!!!  Bolt screamed at the sky.  You hear me?  Give me back Mika you damned gods!
-Bolt, please, Dawn cried as she hugged her mate tighter.
-Give her back... he sobbed, his voice drifting off.
-She's not dead... a voice said from a cloud of dust, making everyone raise their heads to look at the intruder.
Karan, who was with the family for now, hurried and helped his Espeon master, who was getting weaker from the use of his energy.  He seemed pale, but he walked straight with the Umbrespeon on his back, soundly sleeping.
-Mika... Bolt let out, his voice shaking.  I-is she...
-She's sleeping, the male sun Pokémon answered.  She was lucky I was still there or she might have died from hitting the ground.
-Thank you... Thank you!  Thank you so much!  Bolt and Dawn both hugged the stranger and took their daughter from his back to hug her sleeping body, crying of joy.  How can we ever repay you?
-It's okay.  She's an Umbrespeon, so I'm fine with it.
-What do you mean by that?  Onikuro asked, curious.
-Oni, I already told you to be more polite, Neka scolded him.
-It's fine, the Espeon replied.  I'll explain when we'll be safe.
-Let's go at my place, we'll be alone there, Scar suggested.  It's big enough for all of us of course, Dex needing a lot of space.
The Lucario led the group of Pokémons toward his house, hoping Mika would soon wake up.

The group came in front of a house where Scar knocked and opened the door.  Ruka, his Lucario mate, came by, a relieved look on her face.
-Thank Arceus you're all okay!  she said as she hugged her mate.
-I told you we'd be fine, Scar chuckled.
-Dad!  You're back!  Dex let out as he almost jumped on the shiny Lucario.
-Hey Dex!
-You all come inside, Ruka invited the Pokémons.  It'll be quieter.
-Thank you, Bolt let out.  Where could we settle our daughter?
-There are a couple of beds in the guest room.  She'll be comfortable and able to sleep without being disturbed.
Bolt quickly thanked her and followed her directions to get to it.  He settled Mikazuki's sleeping body on one of the beds and watched her.
-I'm so glad you're okay... he whispered, starting to cry again.  I don't know what we would've done if...
The Jolteon couldn't help but cry alone next to his daughter.  He was simply glad to have her next to him again.  Paws embraced him as Dawn settled her head on her mate's shoulder.
-It's over... she said, tears rolling down her cheeks.  She's safe now...
Both parents softly cried, overjoyed by their daughter's miraculous survival.  The Espeon stranger watched over them, glad to see Pokémons care so much for one who was declared of the banished tribe.  He smiled and turned, ready to tell the others about his secret.

-So mister?  Onikuro asked the Espeon.  What's your name?
-My name's Nocturn, the Espeon replied.
-Nocturn?  Marik asked.  But you're an Espeon!
-Well, that's my secret, Nocturn replied.
He nodded to Karan.  The Tyranitar simply moved a finger.  Nocturn's fur slowly changed color and turned darker.  Black was crawling up and down his fur, showing his true form.  The other Pokémons present's eyes widened as yellow rings appeared around Nocturn's forehead gem, on his shoulders, his thighs and on his tail's split ends.  His eyes also turned crimson red, finishing his transformation.
-That can't be... Shadow let out.  Unless you're...
-This is my true form, the exposed Umbrespeon replied.  Karan here can make others suffer from hallucinations, so that's why you all thought I was an Espeon.
-Why did you show yourself to us?  Koneka asked.
-Simply because I believe you will not persecute me.  You have an Umbrespeon in your family too; I don't think you will hate me, for that would be hating Mikazuki for what she is too.
-We couldn't care less if you were a Magikarp!  Pyro replied as he hugged Nocturn with all his might.  You saved Mika and that's all that matters.
Dawn suddenly came by running.
-She's waking up!  she yelled before turning back to her daughter, followed by everyone else except Karan.

-Mika?  Bolt asked as the young Umbrespeon blinked and moved her head a little.
-Daddy?  she asked in a faint whisper.  Is that you?
-I'm so glad you're...
Mikazuki suddenly broke into tears in her father's paws.  The Jolteon closed his eyes and pat her back, comforting her.
-It's okay... he whispered to her ear.  It's all over.
-Uncle Spark scared me daddy, Mika sobbed to Bolt's surprise.  H-he said that, because we t-touched Blaze's tails we were cursed and th-that...
-Whoa, slow down there sweetie!  Bolt interrupted, confused.  What are you talking about?
-I was so scared daddy!  she cried as she cuddled the Jolteon closer.
Bolt raised his head and stared at Spark, incomprehension in his eyes.
-It was just a joke!  the Jolteon defended himself.  Besides, Blaze, Leaf and I were able to calm them after!
-I don't want to be cursed!  Mika continued sobbing.  I don't want Ninetales to possess me!
-Shhh, it's okay sweetie, Bolt said as he rocked his daughter.  No one's going to take you from me.  I'll protect you no matter what.  Mommy and you are my reasons to live...
Mikazuki licked her father's nose before trying to get up, but she fell back on her side and started groaning, resisting to the urge of screaming her head out.  Worried, Bolt moved closer.
-Mika?  he asked as he settled a paw on her shoulder.  Are you okay?
-Ugh...  the young Umbrespeon let out.  My head daddy...
-Get back, Nocturn ordered as he got closer.
The male Umbrespeon settled his forehead against the child's, their gems touching.  A strange telepathic energy passed between both bipolar Pokémons.  When it was over, Nocturn backed up, groaning.  Mikazuki was sleeping, curled up while "nibbling" one of the tips of her tail.
-What did you do to her?  Bolt growled as he got closer to Nocturn.
-I took away her pain and made it my own, happy?  Nocturn replied with dark eyes.  You should thank me instead of yelling at me, she used her powers with such intensity I'm surprised the pain didn't make her pass out.
-Oh...  I'm sorry, Bolt apologized.  And... thank you for this.
-It's fine.  I'll go sleep a little and then Karan and I will be off.
Nocturn coldly settled on one of the beds and curled up, falling asleep instantly.  Bolt felt awful, but couldn't do anything before the adult Umbrespeon woke up.  He checked on Mikazuki one last time and, seeing that she would be sleeping for a while, settled on a bed next to her with Dawn.  Both of them fell asleep very quickly, exhausted by their night and morning.
